Exploring Animal Dental Anatomy Step by Step
Designed for veterinary students and animal enthusiasts, this project makes learning straightforward and accessible, combining storytelling with practical interactions.
This lesson is full of varied, interactive activities designed to keep you engaged. From drag-and-drop tasks that match terms like “buccal surface” and “lingual surface” to their correct locations, to using a dental formula tool to explore teeth across different species, learners are encouraged to explore the topic.
The storytelling aspect was central to the design of this lesson. I wanted learners to feel like they were following Toby on an exploration of his own anatomy, making the learning process more engaging and memorable. By combining Toby’s approachable character with a range of interactive features, we turned complex information into an accessible story that learners can connect with.
I also included scenario-based exercises that put knowledge into practise, asking learners to apply what they’ve learned in realistic contexts. These exercises are designed to reinforce understanding through storytelling, helping learners visualise how anatomical knowledge impacts real animals.
